NEW GUN LAW ALLOWS STUDENTS TO CARRY GUNS ON TEXAS CAMPUS

Speaking of Texas. Guns. It’s now legal for college students, who complete 4 hours of training and are over the age of 21, to carry guns on any state university campus. If the age of 21 sounds familiar, then you’re maybe thinking about one of the arguments opponents of the measure are putting forward. “Why are we allowing young adults to possess firearms in an environment that often involves the consumption of alcohol?” Or even more pressing, why would we allow guns into the classroom? Students and Faculty on campuses statewide are also arguing the measure violates freedom of speech. Which makes sense. How many students might feel afraid to debate a gun-toting Trump supporter on the ills of anti-immigration laws?
